Fire Elemental Totem Block
The whole purpose of this weakaura is to prevent you from using fire totems while your fire elemental is summoned, by blocking your input. This is a fork of Emhiro weakaura.
Is this against ToS ?
Short answer : no.
Long answer :
This doesn't work on TOGC PTR, Blizzard doesn't like it !
After TOGC release we will only provide combat protection for Fire Ele and Bloodlust, everything else will not work and will be removed. Untill TOGC go live, do not use this weakaura on PTR ! ONLY ON LIVE SERVER !
Does it have requirements ?
It work with max rank spell so if you are low-level, it's not for you - wait level 80.
It work with the standard Blizzard UI Bar and Dominos/Elvui. It's unclear if Bartender is compatible.
This weakaura will load only if you have the Wrath Totem or Earth Shield talent, it's designed for Elemental and Restoration Shaman. It will not load in arena and battlegrounds - you probably want full control in PvP. For Enhancement Shaman, check https://wago.io/kuatutb9K
Installation
The weakaura need to know your keybinds, after the installation setup your keybinds : open /wa and go into "Fire Elemental Totem Block" => "Custom Options" tab.
Note : You can see in chat what key you are pressing if you enable "Debug - print what key was pressed into chat" option.
A spell can have multiple keybinds (in case you are into that) - simply separate them with a semicolon, eg 1;F mean that the spell is both keybound to 1 and to F. Lowercase or uppercase does not matter, keybinds are normalized. If you use modifier, it's gonna be something like SHIFT-V.
If you use a mouse buttons for your keybinds, this will usually doesn't work well. In that case, I recommend to map your mouse binds into keyboards binds with your mouse manufacturer software like "Razer Synapse". Simply add an alias to map all your mouse binds to unused keyboards binds in WoW, like the numpads.
Enter your keybinds for each spell, scroll and don't miss anything. After your binds are setup, disable debug mode and you can enable/disable options - hover them to understand what they do. I'll explain shortly all features.
Fire Elemental Totem
If you have summoned "Fire Elemental Totem", it will check the threshold (configurable from 0s to 120s), and if the "Fire Elemental Totem" remaining duration is above the threshold, it will block fire totem input (Wrath Totem, Magma Totem, Searing Totem, Flametongue Totem, Frost Resistance Totem).
If you are not in combat, it will block "Fire Elemental Totem" input.
You can enable/disable per-totem, and also enable/disable the combat protection of "Fire Elemental Totem".
This should prevent fat-finger when you unsummon your "Fire Elemental Totem" to early by accident, usually by pressing "Magma Totem". It also protect you from using your "Fire Elemental Totem" when you are not fighting anything. You can still mouseclick it if you want to use it before combat start, but don't do that - you should snapshot your "Fire Elemental Totem".
Your "Totemic Recall" and your 3 totem configuration ain't gonna be blocked.
If you still need to cancel your "Fire Elemental Totem" for whatever reason, right-click your fire totem (on your player totem frame in Blizzard UI), or recall all totems with "Totemic Recall".
Bloodlust/Heroism
- If you are not in combat, it will block "Bloodlust/Heroism" input.
You can enable/disable the combat protection.
It protect you from using your "Bloodlust/Heroism" when you are not fighting anything. You can still mouseclick it if you want to use it before combat start. |
